Simple V14 New Features

This feature allows printing multiple images and/or texts on members (previously only one image or text could be printed on members). The setting can be found under Printer > Logos & Images. The rule for the selection of members can be specified in the Applied To text box using Rule Syntax. The older setting from previous versions used to read from .ini file, which is now automatically converted to new Rule-based syntax.

Frame Markings and Truss Markings can now be applied using a rule. Under Printer > Markings, the Marking Settings dialog is updated. By clicking the Customise button, the Ruler Editor dialog is opened where the user can specify the rule for printing the marking.

The location of Kickoff bars is added to the items that can be printed. It is found under Printer > Markings > Customise (Member Designation) > Label Settings. Kickoff Location is printed with the prefix “KL”, for example, KL5.

Two new columns (Done and Num) are added to the Loading Order table in the Picklist dialog (previously named as Materials List). Done means the user has picked the required number of sticks. Num indicates the number of sticks picked. These two columns are also shown in the web interface. The update is reflected in the Picklist dialog even if it is open.

Build Order is a new option that is added under Options > Sorting > Pre-Optimisation. If the user selects to pre-sort by Build Order, the saved truss build order is used to sort the members before optimisation.

The Offcut setting now allows the user to choose material grades that need to be excluded from cutting the offcuts. Under Options > Offcuts, the user can click on the Excluded Materials field to open a window with the list of materials with the same width and thickness to exclude.

A button has been added to display the current status of the Stak'n'Gap and lists all boards being tracked. This window is accessed by selecting Board Tracker... under the Tools menu. This button was named Stak-n-Gap in the previous version. It only appears if a Stak'n'Gap is connected to the saw.

Status is a newly added column to the Optimised list to allow tracking the board status (Dispensed, At Saw, At SNG or Done).

The user has the ability to change the status from the right-click menu > Set Tracking Status... . If the member has no state, the user can change the statue to Dispensed. If the member is in the Dispensed state, the user can change the statue to At Saw, At SNG or Remove. If the member is in the Done state, the tracking status can't be changed and the Change Tracking Status... setting will be disabled.

Also, the operator can map the list in the Board tracker (dispensed members) on to the selected member(s) by clicking on Map Dispensed Boards Here. If the dispensed members don’t match the requirement of the material in the list, the status will show Error.

A new column of Volume Consumed has been added to the daily and monthly statistics files, which refers to the volume of the material used in the day and the month, respectively.
