Tension the follower belt
WHAT YOU NEED

- Rehome the saw if not already in the home position (follower farthest from the saw chamber).
- Isolate the saw electrically.
- Remove the follower top guard.

Loosen the four follower motor mounting bolts.
- Loosen the two follower belt tensioning bolts.
- Make a small pen mark on the follower belt about half a meter away from the follower.
- Make a small pen mark closer to the follower on the AIT frame next to the follower belt 8 mm from the first mark.
- Slowly tighten the two tensioning bolts and watch the mark on the follower belt moving as tension is increased.
- Stop tightening the tensioning bolts when the mark on the follower belt is 1 to 2 mm away from alignment with the mark on the AIT frame.
- Tighten the four follower motor mounting bolts to reach the tension that is needed to have perfect alignment of the two marks.
- Once alignment is complete, inspect the follower belt for correct tracking.
- Refit the follower top guard.
